I led the identity development and positioning from the beginning for this new Seattle-based distillery.
The first product is an ultra-premium vodka that is distilled from grapes. Key to the brand identity was capitalizing on the smoother flavor profile resulting from the grapes. In addition, the brand needed be presented in an artful manner consistent with the making of a craft spirit and the aesthetic embodied by Ian MacNeil, the founder.
We positioned the brand to reflect the smoother flavor profile achieved by distilling from grapes.

Wax developed the Glass identity as well as its ultra-premium product, Glass Vodka and Gridiron,
the product sold to bars and lounges.
In order to convey the brand's ultra-premium category and stand out on the ever important a number
of bottle designs were explored. Ultimately a decanter inspired design was decided upon. This style blended
the characteristic, tall bottle design typical of most Vodkas, with that of a shape more typical wine giving
a nod to the grapes that the Glass Vodka is distilled from.

The Glass Vodka girl is the primary icon for the brand, conveying an unexpected smooth
taste profile and fashionable brand personality.
